Deuteronomy 1:31
There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place. 

Deuteronomy 32:6
Is this the way you repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?

Deuteronomy 33:12
Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders. 

Psalm 68:5
A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. 

Psalm 89:26
He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Saviour.’

Isaiah 9:6

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
