Gospel literally means ‘good news’. And this is the good news, for God (the Father) so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Jesus is the way to the Father
One of the reasons Jesus came to earth is to show us the way.
John 14:5-7 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
